thank you, apartment therapy!

Gracious, is it press week or what? I've had loads of people to thank lately, and today my dear Laure from Apartment Therapy is one of them! I e-met Laure a few months ago when she was kind enough to let me feature her Daily, and now the tables have turned and I'm in the hot seat!

Not only did I open the doors to my home for an AT tour, but I dished to Laure on my messy garage, my upcoming move and the Jetsons.

a few things I love:
the fun tree print in the old fancy frame -- great juxtaposition!

The painting with the trees hung sideways over the fireplace -- fun composition!

Your ability to keep everything black and white in your office area -- that takes discipline!

ooh, I'll have to go check out you on apartment therapy, I love a bit of organised collection. Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog. I checked out your etsy shop and love, love your inspiration poster. I love hidden words in posters. I'm currently doing a project on hidden words in eyecharts.

I'd have to agree with James on the "Midwest" comment. Great article Erin - fabulous home also...(as I still here eating breakfast and I look around at the mess I've made from weeks of traveling).

Awww, thank you so so so much everyone! :)

A few of you are questioning the Midwest motive, so I'll give you the skinny:

I'm from Indiana originally and moved to L.A. almost five years ago with my husband. We always planned to move back to start a family in Indiana where our parents and siblings all live, as well.

No, it's not the most glamorous place, but for me, it's home.

And no, I'm not starting a family quite yet, but perhaps that will be in the future.

The move is planned for this fall--- wish us luck and stay tuned for news on our Indiana home! :)

Oooh, the midwest is the best (okay, I'm a little biased being from Chicago)...

Great interview and I LOVE your home...so light and bright with great collections :)

welcome.

because beauty lies in the details of design. in the pencil shavings, in the blueberry waffles. the vintage dress, framed portrait, old postcard.

design is inevitable. celebrated. design for mankind.
