Well, I love photography but I'm not that knowledgeable about it (I'll have to look up all the people already listed), but so far my favorite photographer is Ansel Adams. I recently saw an exhibit of his photos that blew me away. I love the way he contrasts light and dark, and his compositions are stellar.
Hannah's photos are beautiful, too! Thanks for doing this giveaway. - June 3, 2008 at 7:14 PM

I do love photography! That was the first reason I started to follow this blog :) My favorite photograph is hands down Robert Doisneau. I have an affaire with Paris and the Parisian. Next would be Vincent Godeau, still a young design Parisian student but I do think he's going to make it big (and also he's my boyfriend's brother so I hope in the future I'll be able to tell my grandchildren "I knew the great Godeau when he was young! LOL) Cheers from Mexico.

i love Steven Meisel's work because he always seems to make his photo shoots appear like they were so much fun to be a part of. (check out this story called Supermodels Enter Rehab: http://community.livejournal.com/foto_decadent/1553664.html)
there's also a little known canadian photographer that i've come to love named Fred Herzog. he was one of the first street photographers to use colour film (when others believed colour was a threat to the status of fine art photography)
finally, Edward Steichen is a classic favourite of mine. his photos are haunting and often so timeless -- especially his portrait of greta garbo. he also organized the family of man exhibition, which is one of my favourite collections of photography ever.
