i am.

I AM
fascinated with this collection.

I AM reminded of this Chalkboard Project.

I AM inspired.

[thanks, jami!]
Editor's Note: Design for Mankind reader Emily just tipped me off to the exhibit, which was hosted at the Austin Fine Arts Festival, so I went digging and found this photo of the actual installation. FANTASTIC work, Jackie Young and Cybil Gustafson!:

I live in Austin and was able to participate in this project as well as speak to the people behind it. It really was and is inspiring. What was I? Determined.

This is great! I don't know how I'd fill in my blank; maybe I'd just leave it empty and open to interpretation?

What a great idea... I'm with Jude, I have no idea what I'd put in the blank because it probably would change very often :)

I wish you could see how the end result was displayed. The artists made a huge plexiglass cube (probably around 8x8x8?) and the polaroids were tiled on all sides. I saw it at the Austin Fine Arts Festival.

Fantastic project. I have no idea what I would write either. But today I am happy because my sister is here.

I fell in love with this too! Blogged about it the week it was going on in Austin - I SO wish I could have been there to see it in person! Perhaps we'll need to start a nationwide tour... hmmm...

I love the guys board with all kinds of writing on it and that he has a pac man ghost and a flower up in the corner!

I am... quirky!

welcome.

because beauty lies in the details of design. in the pencil shavings, in the blueberry waffles. the vintage dress, framed portrait, old postcard.

design is inevitable. celebrated. design for mankind.
