maejane.
Step 1: Find MaeJane through her comment on my blog.
Step 2: Read her entire blog incessantly--- in mad love of everything featured.
Step 3: Realize she has an Etsy shop where she creates work that is probably even better than what she features.
Step 4: Confirm that yes, the work is awesome.
Step 5: Wallet goes back in the fridge. No prints today, Erin, no.
edit: Ok, maybe just one. That's fair, right?
welcome.
design is inevitable. celebrated. design for mankind.

Ha, no... I put my wallet in the fridge when I'm not supposed to spend anything. I forget it's there b/c I put it in the back behind the sour cream.
But then it sort of smells like tacos, so yeah... - March 12, 2008 at 1:37 PM

See all those steps outlined above by Painted Fish and Kati and throw in a big dose of laissez-faire . . . don't separate a girl from her art!

They're similar, yes, but I don't like to assume that artists aren't inspired by similar things, therefore creating similar things.
Maybe MaeJane resonated with something that AshleyG had created, or perhaps it was the other way around.
Either way, they're both fabulous in their own right. - March 12, 2008 at 8:00 PM

As I'm saying a lot lately, everything inspire us. From the moment you settle in front of the computer, walk in a gallery or buy a book, to the moment you talk to other artists, buy material in your favourite shop or sit down in front of the tv to draw. We are all visually inspired. I don't think that's bad.
I see hints of me in other people's work, and I assume that's what others see in my work.
I think it's fun.
We need to have fun. Not to take it that seriously.
Nobody's talking about million $ art!... :D
And I like her pieces!!
And I'll check ashleyg as well!!
Love
