I stumbled upon Etsy seller Kirby this morning while researching another 2Modern post and I had to do a double take. A freelance costume designer and artist, Kirby has lived all over the world and has the eye for design to prove it.

I love, love, LOVE this alternative to displaying historical paintings in your home, rather than having those creepy portraits whose eyes follow you wherever you're going. Yeah, those freak me out.

So if you or your loved one is a history buff, you're in luck, b/c Kirby's made it easy to love our past eras with these cutesie prints.

Click here to shop Kirby's artwork, or pick up her embroidered pillows for the ultimate textile touch. Just $15 for the prints--- enjoy!

I have seen Kirby's name in Etsy and see she is also from Atlanta like me. Hi Kirby!
It's not often that chic and whimsical coexist, but she does it - fun, stylish, wonderful!

AHHH, another Atlanta girl? Gracious, you ladies are SO stylish!!! :)

welcome.

because beauty lies in the details of design. in the pencil shavings, in the blueberry waffles. the vintage dress, framed portrait, old postcard.

design is inevitable. celebrated. design for mankind.
