home sweet home: krisi from bulgaria.

My new friend Krisi was kind enough to give me the in on a recent home makeover she's working on, and to be totally honest, I'm smitten with this place. I've never been a fan of mod, or even modERN for that matter, but her brilliant mix of colors and light are just enough to make me want to abandon my vintage obsession and pick up a Eurway catalog.

What started as this, quickly became this with a few coats of paint and a LOTTA patience. And then, this. And finally? This. Seriously, the color combination just makes me feel like I jumped out of a commercial set for Lucky Charms cereal, and for some reason, today that's a really good thing.

Krisi then showed me the progress of picking the right chair to the right lamps (from IKEA), to eventually, the right dish towel (which, if you're wondering, is a PataPri).

I love the wallpaper that Krisi chose. The perfect amount of pattern in a bright white is like icing on the top of this lovely rainbow cake...

Next on the list? We'll see Krisi's curtain choice and some more furniture! Can't wait!

When DFM knows, you'll know. ;)

[thanks, krisi!]

welcome.

because beauty lies in the details of design. in the pencil shavings, in the blueberry waffles. the vintage dress, framed portrait, old postcard.

design is inevitable. celebrated. design for mankind.
