blueflip.

Whew. I'm in heaven here. Matt from BlueFlip sent over a link to his art site that's got some serious panache. (Actually, I have no idea what panache means, so I'm hoping it's a good thing). Here's the deal:

Blueflip offers original art for cheapsters (almost everything is under $35!), produced by emerging artists throughout the U.S. And here's the kicker: 10% of the proceeds go to a nonprofit organization of the artist's choice.

I love this. Kudos to Matt for starting this up, and kudos to the participating artists who gladly donate their time and profits to these charities. I'm a HUGE fan of creative ways to help each other out, and if it involves art--- ALL THE BETTER! :)

Head on over to BlueFlip Art to find a print that suits you. If you do purchase something, let me know right here. You get a special prize from Design for Mankind for being totally awesome and helping charities.

Thanks for sharing your project, Matt, and readers--- get out there and support art! :)

And Jaimee--- seriously. It's JUST like a dream.

because beauty lies in the details of design. in the pencil shavings, in the blueberry waffles. the vintage dress, framed portrait, old postcard.

design is inevitable. celebrated. design for mankind.
